Mid Winter Updates

It’s been a busy winter so far—both in the fields preparing our soil and figuring out plans for 2026. I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes update and talk about something I’m especially excited about: heirloom chrysanthemums and our upcoming plant sales.

This year we’re doubling down on heirloom mums. These old-fashioned varieties deliver incredible late-season color and character—big, lush blooms when everything else has faded. If your like me then entering winter can feel dreary, and these bring just the right amount of cheer. They’re workhorses in the fall garden, blooming when many other plants are winding down, and they make stunning cut flowers for arrangements lasting weeks in the vase.

Heirloom mums aren’t just flowers; they’re living history. Many of the varieties we grow have been cherished for generations, selected for their resilience and unique forms. By growing and offering them to our community, we’re helping keep these time-tested plants alive in home gardens and bouquets. We want you to become a Chrysanthemum Keeper with us!
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for our spring plant sales, where you’ll be able to shop heirloom chrysanthemum starts, and other cut flower starts. These sales are one of my favorite parts of the year—an opportunity to share plants that will grow and bloom for seasons to come and connect in-person with other growers. Details on dates and varieties will be announced soon, so keep an eye out!

Alongside our fresh and dried flower offerings, we’re continuing to grow the Bouquet of the Month Club—monthly seasonal bouquets straight from the farm. It’s a simple way to enjoy fresh blooms during our growing season while supporting local agriculture. We now offer three-month memberships in addition to six-month subscriptions, making it easier to join in a way that fits your budget and schedule.

Whether you’re shopping heirloom mums for your garden, joining the Bouquet Club, or exploring dried and everlasting materials from the Bloom Room, my goal is to offer flowers that inspire creativity and connection. Small farms thrive because of community, and I’m grateful to be part of yours.
Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about plant sale dates and availability. I can’t wait to share these heirloom treasures with you.
