Take a packet, leave a packet. Don’t have a packet to leave? ..That’s okay. Just make a donation, or promise to grow, harvest and deposit seeds back into the library next season. Our ancestors used to swap seeds with their neighbors all the time. Making deposits into the seed library allows us to continue giving back to our community and honor old traditions.

About Freedom Flowers

Hey there! I’m Tracy Sundby — flower grower, heirloom chrysanthemum enthusiast, and proud Floret Workshop grad (Class of 2023). With the support of my husband Mykel and our two boys, Myles and Waylon, I grow, harvest, and dry old-fashioned heirloom flowers to sell to Florists, Designers, DIYers and flower lovers alike on our farm in Stanwood, Washington.

Freedom Flowers began in 2022 during a season when the garden became a place of healing and a whole ‘lotta hope. Since then, it has grown into a space where I can get curious about plants from seed to vase. I love to share the nostalgia, beauty, and history of heirloom blooms with my direct community and network with other growers. Being part of two Flower Collectives fills my cup! Floral Current Collective of Stilly Valley Flower Farmers and the Snohomish County Flower Collective.

While I grow a wide range of seasonal flowers, 2026 is all about chrysanthemums — I just love the old-time, specialty cut-flower varieties with incredible forms, colors, and stories. These are NOT your grocery store Chrysanthemums! Preserving and sharing these heirloom mums has become the heartbeat of the farm, especially as more people discover how truly special they are. Also joined the Evergreen Chrysanthemum Association in 2025, which has helped gain resources, and increase knowledge of these flowers to share with you. Of course I’ll still grow many other favorites, with a heavy focus on everlasting flowers.

Freedom Flowers offers:

• Heirloom Chrysanthemum Plant & Cuttings in Spring
• Seasonal Heirloom Chrysanthemum Bouquets & Centerpieces
• DIY Bulk Bloom Buckets
• Weddings and Events
• Bouquet of the Month Flower Club (May–October subscription)
• Seed Swap & Farmstand on Happy Valley Road in Stanwood, WA
• Pop-Up Events & Playshops
• Dried Flowers & Everlasting Bouquets

Everything I grow is rooted in nostalgia, grown with intention, and harvested by my two hands — flowers meant to spark joy, evoke memories, and bring a little magic into the everyday.
