From Kings Mums:

“Believed to be originally bred in Australia, imported to the UK in 1951 under the name ‘Watanabi’ and renamed ‘Connie Mayhew’. It first appeared in a King’s publication in 1952. According to our records the last year it was offered for sale was 1977 before we brought it back in 2022 . “

*I think they may have gotten the cuttings to bring it back from our local Mum Club ECA but need to confirm that. They have mentioned sharing varieties with Kings many times in past to keep them in production. The person this Mum was actually named after, Connie Mayhew reached out to the Mum club stating it was named after her when she was 2 years old, and has never actually seen the flower in person!

Flowers are a pale, creamy primrose color with perfect incurve form. Best grown as a disbud they say - I need to really dial that in this season to get bigger blooms.
